Intellectual Property Transaction and Technology Licensing Manager EAME, Caterpillar UK

Jo Costura is Caterpillar’s Technology Licensing Manager for Europe, Africa and the Middle East and is based in Peterborough in the UK. She is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and Fellow of the Women’s Engineering Society in the UK.

Jo has worked in industry in product development for 24 years, first Rolls Royce then moving to Caterpillar, where she has worked in the UK and USA for the last 20 years as an engineering leader responsible for a variety of roles from component and system engineering through product, technology and research strategy.

Jo took up the role of Technology Licensing Manager 3 years ago with responsibility for scoping, defining and negotiating technology development agreements with external industrial or academic partners related to intellectual property rights and technology licensing. She works closely with engineers and legal teams across the region developing construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in Caterpillar’s three product segments – resource industries, construction industries and energy & transportation.
