While at Ocean Tomo Mr. Cohen led all technology products. Mr. Cohen hired the firm’s first team of developers and created all technology platforms to include search based worldwide patent site, patent ratings engine used by Fortune 500 companies and a site to search and load patent marking data.
Mr. Cohen was charge of multi-million dollar budget as well as multi-million dollars in sales revenue. Mr. Cohen moved the firm’s data center to is current Chicago location and created redundancy for disaster recovery while also moving the IT operations from small legacy .net applications to java based technologies. Mr. Cohen built client a based patent processing engine that allowed all internal computers to process patent data when spare CPU cycles were available. Mr. Cohen worked directly with international government agencies to rollout the firm’s proprietary analytics worldwide. In addition to his role at Ocean Tomo, Mr. Cohen has also built and managed technology teams at companies such as Washington Mutual, Orbitz, GoGo Air, and most recently TransUnion. Mr. Cohen has been responsible for building B2C and B2B technology platforms for over 20 years and is an active member of the blockchain community. Mr. Cohen attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studied Applied Science.
