France Brevets is an IP-focussed investment, monetization and strategic expertise company that was set-up by the French government and Caisse des Depots in 2011. The goal of France Brevets is to design and execute solutions for a fair return on IP investments, and assist SMEs and large corporations in the creation and strategic management of high value patents. France Brevets’ role is also to accelerate the growth of tech-based businesses and industrial ecosystems in France and in Europe.

France Brevets has managed major worldwide licensing programmes including on the NFC technology and it has set-up a significant number of patent factories for research organizations and SMEs that have generated high quality patents. France Brevets has assisted numerous start-ups and has actively contributed to their growth and success.

Before joining France Brevets, Didier was Director of Legal Affairs for EATON Aerospace in EMEA and Corporate Chief IP Counsel for the EATON Group for that region. Prior to joining EATON, Didier was Chief Counsel of the Strategic IP Transactions Team of HP in Palo Alto, California. Didier was also a senior associate attorney in the International Patent Prosecution and Litigation Practices of Baker Botts L.L.P. in Houston and London. He has also served as the Chief Patent Counsel for the Swatch Group in Switzerland. Didier is a qualified European Patent Attorney. He was recognized in 2016 by the Legal 500 in its GC PowerList.
