Co-Founder, Orcan Energy
Andreas Schuster is Co-Founder of Orcan Energy and is as CTO responsible for technology development. The stated objective of Orcan Energy is to harness the vast amounts of waste heat from industry, transport and power generation. Orcan serves these fields of application with two product lines using the ORC technology in order to transform heat into electricity or mechanical power.
Andreas Schuster is working since 14 years in this field of technology, the last 7 years for Orcan. There his responsibility also includes patents and industrial property rights. Orcan owns more than 110 granted patents in 24 patent families. Schuster is named inventor of 20 patent families.
He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, worked there as research associate and lecturer and holds a PhD in the field of “Utilization of low grade heat with Orcan Rankine Cycle plants of small power”.
